During breakfast with South Korean Prime Minister Lee Han-tong, Mr Putin said that relations of good-neighbourliness and constructive partnership with the Republic of Korea were in the interests of stability and prosperity in North-East Asia, and would always be among Russia’s priorities in the Asia-Pacific region. He also expressed confidence that problems arising from the division of the two Koreas would be solved and welcomed any steps towards reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula.
