The President’s congratulatory message reads, in particular:
“This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, and as we celebrate this date we can say with confidence that cooperation between Russia and Canada continues to develop steadily in the interests of our peoples and of international security and stability.
Continued efforts to strengthen mutual trust and give substance to our political dialogue will help to promote bilateral trade, economic, cultural and educational ties and intensify sports exchanges. We are firmly set on continuing to expand our fruitful cooperation in all areas”.
