Mr Putin and Mr Gorbachev discussed the problems of the TV channel following the decision of the NTV shareholders to change the company’s management.
During the meeting, Mr Putin stressed the importance of preserving democratic institutions, the freedom of speech and the media. A superior court has to deal with the NTV problem, the President said.
