Mr Putin said that a bill against money laundering had been submitted to Parliament. The President regarded it as a landmark in Government efforts to make Russian business more predictable and transparent to Russian entrepreneurs and their overseas partners. He described the bill as a stride on Russia’s road to the European and global economic environment.
Mr Putin highlighted the latest outbreaks of inter-racial strife. Whatever manifestations of racism are inadmissible in such a multi-ethnic country as Russia, he stressed.
