Earlier, Mr Putin visited the Russian Olympic House, which opened the day before in Guatemala City, and spoke with members of the Sochi-2014 Olympic bid committee.
The President watched an ice ballet performance of the Sleeping Beauty and exchanged views afterwards with Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref, head of the Russian Olympic Committee Leonid Tyagachev and Governor of Krasnodar Region Alexander Tkachev. Mr Putin had his photo taken with the sportspeople and the members of choir from Krasnodar Region who travelled to Guatemala to support Sochi’s Olympic bid.
