The President of Finland arrived in Russia's Mordovia region to participate in the Festival of Finno-Ugric Peoples.
Tarja Halonen noted that Russia is a multicultral land with a rich and diverse heritage, and that the Finno-Ugric peoples are members of this family of nations.
The presidents of Russia and Finland also discussed their bilateral relations.
