The Greek Prime Minister asked that Russian aircraft provide Greece with additional help in extinguishing the forest fires that have devastated that country. Vladimir Putin told Konstantinos Karamanlis that in light of the friendly relations between Russia and Greece additional aircraft from the Russian Emergencies Ministry will be sent to Greece as soon as possible.
During the discussion they also talked about bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
The conversation was held at Greek initiative.
