In his statement Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of preserving strategic stability on the world scene and preventing the escalation and spread of local conflicts.

The Russian president addressed sympathetic words to the audience of war veterans who rescued Russia and the world from the plague of Nazism.

President Putin also welcomed guest war veterans from other countries and toasted “To victorious soldiers! To Victory Day!”
