Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko

During the conversation they discussed various issues linked to their countries’ bilateral relations, including the preparations for the second session of the Russian-Ukrainian Intergovernmental Commission that is planned for this year.

They intend to continue exchanging opinions on these issues during the meeting between the heads of presidential administrations. The Russian party has confirmed its readiness to host such an event in Moscow in the near future.

The conversation took place at Ukrainian initiative.
