The conference discussed two aspects of Russia’s state policy in the sphere of military-technical cooperation with foreign countries. Firstly, cooperation with parties to the CIS Collective Security Treaty and, secondly, cooperation with non-CIS countries for the period until the year 2010.
According to the President, both concepts are fundamental and decisive for determining state approaches to the development of military-technical cooperation. Vladimir Putin stressed that long-term programmes of military-technical cooperation with individual countries should be based on these concepts.
