The Interior Minister told the President about the current situation in Chechnya, in particular about measures taken by the ministry to stop crimes against heads of the regional governments and the local population in general.
They also discussed the criminal situation in the country. The President pointed to the need to substantially improve the work of the Interior Ministry’s agencies in dealing with inquiries and requests from individual citizens.
Boris Gryzlov also told the President about the results of a meeting of the Council of Interior Ministers of CIS Member-Countries held in Yerevan on June 21 and 22. The Minister dwelt on the agreements reached to coordinate the fight against illegal drug trafficking and crimes on transport, as well as other measures to cover all CIS countries.
