The two leaders discussed numerous aspects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic and military-technical spheres.
After the talks, Mr Putin and Mr Conte signed the Declaration on the Principles of Friendly Relations and Partnership Between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Guinea. The Declaration emphasised the commitment of both countries to global strategic stability and their readiness to promote a multi-polar system of international relations. Russia and Guinea agreed to expand long-term multi-faceted cooperation and bilateral ties in the sphere of health care, education, science and culture. They also agreed that Russian and Guinean Foreign Ministries would maintain regular contacts.
Mr Putin expressed the hope that the Guinean leader’s current visit would help strengthen bilateral contacts.
