Mr Trutnev said that the Ministry had drafted supplements to the current programme of geological exploration of Russia’s mineral resources. He said the adjustments to the programme would not entail additional allocations for its implementation.

Mr Trutnev informed Mr Putin that the Ministry had found it advisable to include a requirement to develop processing capacities in licence agreements on the opening up of large deposits.

Mr Putin and Mr Trutnev also discussed the prospects for the implementation of the Eastern Siberia – Pacific oil pipeline project.
