1 September 2007 President Putin visited Astrakhan's No.3 high school, met with teachers and students, congratulated them on the Day of Knowledge and wished them further success.

The head of state emphasised the school's achievements and drew attention to the fact that the teachers mentioned the preliminary results of the national project Education, and also expressed his hope that the entire education system will further improve.

Vladimir Putin also placed special emphasis on the fact that on this holiday it is impossible to forget the tragedy that took place several years ago in Beslan.
