During the meeting Mr President gave an overview of the current economic situation in Russia and declared that Russian business is interested in cooperating more actively with the Australian business community.

Vladimir Putin expressed his hope that Australian business is also interested in developing relations with Russia.

Head of the Presidential Experts' Directorate Arkadii Dvorkovich, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Basic Element Oleg Deripaska, Chairman of Vneshekonombank Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of VTB Bank Andrei Kostin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Aleksandr Medvedev, General Director of Norilsk Nickel Denis Morozov, and President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Aleksandr Shokhin participated in the meeting from the Russian party.
