Vladimir Putin told the meeting participants about the informal CIS summit in Almaty that had discussed all aspects of CIS activity in the economic, military and foreign-policy spheres.
President Putin said Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan planned to expand their energy cooperation, primarily in the gas sphere. He said the four national governments had been ordered to work out the required cooperation system.
