President Putin and Mr Kohl discussed issues related to preparations for the Russian-German intergovernmental forum to be held in Weimar in April. Mr Putin noted the important role of the former German Chancellor and the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin in establishing the tradition of regular meetings.
President Putin also shared his impressions of his recent meeting with Angela Merkel, Head of the Christian Democratic Union.
Mr Kohl, for his part, expressed his opinion on the work of international conference “Germany and Russia in the Changing World”, which he had come to Moscow to participate in.
