The leaders of Ukraine and Russia discussed the results of the informal February 28–March 2 CIS summit in Almaty.
Vladimir Putin and Leonid Kuchma agreed to hold a trilateral summit involving Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin on March 17 in Odessa. The three leaders will discuss important aspects of economic, political and regional cooperation and prospects for settling the conflict in Transdnestr.
