Answering the President’s questions, Mr Ivanov spoke about work to give the public greater access to the arbitration courts and make information about the courts’ work more open and transparent. Mr Putin also emphasised the issue of public confidence in the courts, particularly in the arbitration courts.

These issues are all the more important today given the steady increase in civil cases examined by the arbitration courts and also by the fact that many ordinary shareholders are party to business disputes examined by the courts.
