The two heads of state exchanged views on the outlook for bilateral cooperation in light of the upcoming visit to Russia by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero. Both sides noted the high level of preparations for the upcoming summit, giving them confidence that it will provide an important boost to developing work together in a variety of areas.
King Juan Carlos I particularly noted the interest the Spanish business community is showing in taking part in large-scale projects in Russia. In this respect both sides confirmed their mutual readiness to discuss in detail a whole range of practical cooperation issues during the upcoming talks.
