Mr Putin and Mr Berlusconi discussed major bilateral projects, cooperation of small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as expanded investment cooperation and cultural projects. Both leaders also focused on Russia-EU cooperation, Russia-NATO relations and Russia’s place in the system of European security.
Vladimir Putin informed Silvio Berlusconi about Russian-US talks on strategic offensive arms reductions. Both leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East.
Silvio Berlusconi said both sides had reached consensus on most of the issues.
