Mr Putin’s telegram reads, in particular:

“It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the tragedy at the Zasyadko Mine in Donetsk Region that has caused much loss of life.

We sincerely share fraternal Ukraine’s grief and see this tragedy as our common misfortune.

I ask you to convey my words of support and sympathy to the families of the victims and my wishes for a speedy recovery to all who were injured in this accident”.
