President Vladimir Putin visited a residential district for military servicemen in the suburbs of St Petersburg.

Speaking with the family of Igor Khalezov, one of the officers who received a new apartment, the President said that the budget is allocating enormous sums of money for resettling people out of old and run-down housing and into new homes.

Mr Putin also said that the authorities will continue work on housing construction for military servicemen, including for retired servicemen.
