In order to ensure aviation security certain provisions of the Air Code of the Russian Federation regarding the transmission of the personal data of airplane passengers will be clarified and made to conform to international law, as well as Russian legislation on transport security and on personal data.

In particular, as regards international air travel, the transmission of such data will be carried out together with the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation and the authorized bodies of foreign states, in accordance with the international treaties of the Russian Federation or the legislation of the foreign country from which the airplane took off, was destined for, or arrived in, according to the provisions of the legislation of the Russian Federation, or unless otherwise established in the international treaties of the Russian Federation.
