The law gives religious educational establishments the possibility of obtaining governmental accreditation.
This accreditation will attest to the level of their educational programmes, in accordance with the content and quality of education that graduates receive and in light of state education standards. It will give religious educational establishments the right to issue diplomas recognized by the state, containing the emblem of the educational institution and not the state emblem of the Russian Federation. Receiving accreditation from the state does not give religious educational establishments the status of state educational establishments.
