The Minister told the President about plans to increase the number of Russian citizens who receive the standard medical examination in the next two years. In particular, Tatyana Golikova reported that in 2008 540,000 children will receive the examination (in 2007 more than 120,000 children were examined).
They also discussed plans for the development of a Blood Service and for donations of blood in 2008–2010. 9,5 billion rubles have been allocated to this effect.
