According to a decree issued by the Russian head of state, the Federal Agency for Nuclear Power has been abolished. The public corporation Rosatom will be vested with the authority to implement on behalf of the Russian Federation the rights of shareholders in the joint-stock companies in the nuclear energy industry.
The President made provisions for the approval of a list of public joint-stock companies, the shares of which are federal property and subject to transfer to the state corporation Rosatom as property belonging to the Russian Federation.
The decree also approved the list of federal unitary enterprises, for which the state corporation Rosatom, on behalf of the Russian Federation, will have ownership rights.
