Speaking at a meeting with the Government Cabinet, President Vladimir Putin said that the establishment of the Housing and Utilities Sector Reform Fund is not just an original means of sterilising the money supply but needs to contribute to improving people’s lives.

The Housing and Utilities Sector Reform Fund was established in 2007 with the Russian regions also contributing to finance capital repairs of apartment buildings and resettle people from housing due to be demolished or no longer fit for habitation.
