This issue was discussed during Vladimir Putin's working meeting with Minister of Civil Defense, Extraordinary Situations and Disaster Relief Sergei Shoigu.
The centre was created to improve public administration in crisis situations. This is a comprehensive centre based on new generation principles designed to ensure operative management and emergency response in extraordinary situations, as well as to prevent and eradicate such situations. In the event of an emergency situation the Centre will exercise operational services and provide information.
