The agreement sets out the principles of a unified system for training military personnel for the armed forces and other military units of CSTO member states by coordinating various areas of specialisation and training programmes. The training will be done both in conjunction with Russian servicemen and separately in special faculties of Russian military schools.
The agreement provides that the training for military personnel of CSTO member states will carried out both with fees and on a concessional or grant basis.
The CSTO comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
