In his message, the President said, in particular:

“It is pleasing to see that your annual meetings in St Petersburg have already become a tradition. They provide the opportunity to discuss the most topical issues facing credit and financial organizations’ work, strengthen international cooperation and exchange experience.

National economic stability and the continued integration of the world financial system depend greatly today on stable banking institutions, developing new banking products and technology and an effective credit policy. This congress’ chosen theme – Banks in the Financial Intermediary System: the Current Situation and Future Outlook – is of great interest for experts and analysts from various countries.

I am sure that the recommendations the forum makes will help make Russian banks more competitive and increase the clients’ and foreign partners’ confidence in them.”
