Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia would build full and long-term relations with Nicaragua and spoke in favour of expanding cooperation with Latin American countries.

Following the consultations, Mr Medvedev and President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega adopted a Joint Declaration. A package of agreements on cooperation in space research, using the GLONASS Russian global satellite navigation system, the energy sector, agriculture, education, science, and innovation, were also signed in the presence of the two Presidents.
