The Council discussed issues related to the implementation of the approved anti-corruption measures, the establishment of an appropriate system of expert assessments for laws and regulations and monitoring their implementation, as well as additional steps to counter corruption.
Dmitry Medvedev noted that the fight against this scourge should be given constant attention, whatever the circumstances and the other important issues confronting the country. On the contrary, one such problem, the current economic crisis, makes it that much more important to get corruption under control.
