Following the attack on the life of President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, Mr Medvedev instructed Mr Gaisanov to step up security measures in the republic and ensure that there is no disruption to all government officials’ and agencies’ work.

In accordance with Ingushetia’s constitution, if the president of the republic is unable to do his or her duties, the prime minister temporarily assumes his or her duties.
