The message of the Russian President reads, in part:

“I would like to congratulate you on the Belarusian national holiday, Independence Day. This event is particularly remarkable, since this year marks the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi aggressors.

Today, the bonds of brotherhood between Russia and Belarus, which have been tried and tested in very difficult times, guarantee the development of comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation, whose goal is to ensure prosperity and high living standards for our peoples.”
