Dmitry Medvedev sent his greetings to organisers and participants of the International Summit of Economy and Politics Women Leaders, taking place in St Petersburg.
The message reads, in part:
“You represent public, scientific, and business organisations from many nations. Through your impressive achievements, you demonstrate the importance of the role played by women in the modern world, the economy, politics, and culture.
Today, it is imperative to do everything possible to increase women’s social engagement and maximise their creative and intellectual potential. This is one of the conditions for the stable and effective development of any state.
I expect that your forum will serve to further strengthen the women’s movement and deepen international economic and humanitarian contacts.”
Summit participants include government officials, CEOs of large companies, public figures, and scientists from 26 regions of Russia and 16 foreign countries.
