Dmitry Medvedev sent his greetings to participants of the 10th Meeting of Heads of Special Services, Security Agencies and Law Enforcement Agencies which are Foreign Partners of Russia’s FSB.
The message reads, in part:
“Your meeting is devoted to a very important, timely topic: the joint fight against international terrorism. The calm, peaceful lives of millions of people are greatly dependent on successful cooperation in this area.
Terrorism remains the most terrible threat of modern times. Today, we should search for new, more effective methods of preventing terrorist attacks, and respond harshly to the igniting of interethnic and interfaith hatred and propaganda of violence and extremism everywhere including the global information environment.
I hope the recommendations you develop during the meeting will be in practical demand, will increase the efficiency of your joint efforts, and will help strengthen security in our countries.”
The meeting is taking place in St Petersburg.
