Dmitry Medvedev congratulated pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of the Soviet Union Anatoly Berezovoy on his 70th birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“You made a big contribution to the success of space exploration. Over the more than 200 days you spent in orbit you performed unique scientific experiments that contributed much to developing Russian manned space exploration.”
Anatoly Berezovoy was commander of the mission to the Soviet space station Salyut-7. The mission lasted from May 13 to December 10, 1982.
