Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants in Transport Week 2012
The President said, in particular, in his telegram:
“Your forum has become an important regular and much awaited event in Russia’s business life over the last years and is an influential platform for constructive and substantive dialogue between the authorities and the expert and business communities on current transport sector development issues.
Modernising the road and rail infrastructure and developing air, sea and river traffic are among our big state priorities. Today, we are focusing our efforts on developing modern technological, logistics and management systems and building big multimodal hubs. We are upgrading our transport fleets with new equipment and technology that meets the highest safety, reliability and environmental standards. Of course, we also need to make full use of public-private partnerships in this work.
I am sure that effective solutions to these issues will boost the sector’s innovative growth potential and competitiveness.”
