The President congratulated members of Russia’s national student team and their coaches on their victory, and wished them continued success in sports.
The Russian national student team was ranked first at the 2009 25th World Summer Universiade, which concluded on July 12, 2009. The Russian team won 76 medals, including 27 gold medals. National teams from 56 countries participated in the 2009 Universiade.
The 2013 World Summer Universiade will be held in Russia, in the Tartarstan capital of Kazan.
