In accordance with an agreement between President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the ninth Russian-German intergovernmental summit will take place in Wiesbaden on October 14–15 with government delegations from the two countries taking part.

The summit will examine the entire spectrum of Russian-German cooperation and outline measures to intensify work in key areas of the two countries’ strategic partnership.

The intergovernmental summit in Wiesbaden will coincide with the plenary session of the Petersburg Dialogue Public Forum, with Mr Putin and Mrs Merkel expected to give addresses.
