Your fundamental work on civil law, theory and philosophy of law in which you sought to reveal the very ‘anatomy of jurisprudence’ have become classics of Russian legal research and won you indisputable authority among the professional community.

You stood at the origins of the establishment of civil and constitutional law in modern Russia and contributed in many ways to its democratic renewal and development of a rule-of-law state; your social and educational activities have furthered the legal education of Russian citizens and the creation of an entire school of thought.”
