The effective development of domestic energy is crucial for our economic modernisation. Its success is directly related to the widespread introduction of advanced modern technologies. And here it is important to fully exploit the innovative potential of Russian science and to make use of work done by our experts, designers and engineers. Of course we also need to extend our cooperation with foreign partners.

I hope that the decisions taken in the course of your congress will genuinely enhance the competitiveness of Russia's energy industry.”
