The President’s telegram reads, in part:

“Pesach draws faithful members of the Jewish community to the ideals of justice, freedom, and creativity, the fundamental spiritual and moral values of the Jewish people.

Today, Russia’s Jewish community is doing a great deal to preserve and build upon centuries-long traditions of good neighbourliness, promoting peace and harmony in our society and the successful development of a multiethnic and multi-faith Russian state.”
