The President’s telegram reads, in part:

“Over the past decade, your theatre has done a great deal to develop the dramatic arts. Today, the Ivan Franko theatre is one of the leading creative institutions in Ukraine, consistently showcasing a rich repertoire and a high level of talent in acting and directing. By performing plays based on the works of Russian writers and playwrights, the theatre is helping to strengthen the cultural ties between our nations.”
