Vladimir Putin congratulated current officers and veterans of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office on their professional holiday, Prosecutor General’s Office Worker Day.
The message reads, in part:
“At different times in history, the prosecution agencies played an important, key role in strengthening Russia’s statehood, law and order, and protecting the rights and interests of the country’s citizens. Russia is justifiably proud of the best representatives of the prosecution corps who are true professionals, honest and decent people totally devoted to their Fatherland, duty and ideals of justice.
It is important that the traditions of uncompromising service of the Law are being maintained by the current generation of Prosecutor General’s Office staff. Your priorities today include such areas as fighting crime and corruption, strengthening law and order and public security. Constant attention should be paid to preventing any manifestations of terrorism or extremism, propaganda of national, religious or social intolerance.”
