Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the Acting Governor of Sakhalin Region.
Following the dismissal of Alexander Khoroshavin from the post of Sakhalin Region Governor for having lost the President’s confidence, Mr Putin appointed Mr Kozhemyako Acting Governor of the region until an elected Governor takes office. The President accepted Mr Kozhemyako’s request to step down from his current post of Amur Region Governor.
