Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Early Termination of Mandate of Smolensk Region Governor.
In his executive order, the President accepted Governor of Smolensk Region Alexei Ostrovsky’s request to step down from office ahead of term and appointed him Acting Governor of the region until an elected governor takes office.
