The message reads, in part:

“Border guards have always been reliably protecting the borders of our Fatherland, being the first to meet the enemy and courageously repelling any attacks on the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Russia is justifiably proud of you and your predecessors. This year as we mark the 70^th anniversary of the Great Victory, I would like to say special words of gratitude to the veterans. Their heroism, steadfastness and fortitude are an example of true patriotism and military oath of loyalty and duty.

Russia’s FSB Border Guards Service personnel preserve and develop the traditions of the older generations, they do their job with dignity and faithfully serve their country and its people.”
