Executive Order abolishing the Ministry for Crimean Affairs

Vladimir Putin signed the Executive Order On Abolishing the Ministry for Crimean Affairs and the State Commission for Socioeconomic Development of the Republic of Crimea and City of Sevastopol.

Under the Executive Order’s terms, following the end of the transition period set by the Federal Constitutional Law On Accession to the Russian Federation and Establishment within the Russian Federation of the New Regions of the Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol, and in the aim of optimising the federal executive power system’s organisation, the Ministry for Crimean Affairs and the State Commission for Socioeconomic Development of Crimea and Sevastopol are abolished.

The abolished ministry’s functions are transferred to the Economic Development Ministry.
